Auditions For OCTC's 'Peter/Wendy' Next Week In Ocean City

OCEAN CITY, NJ — The Greater Ocean City Theatre Company will hold auditions for students in 6th-12th grades for its 2017 fall show on Friday, Sept. 8, and Sunday, Sept. 10, the theater company announced this week. Auditions will be held at the Ocean City Theatre Company’s Rehearsal Studio, 1501 West Avenue.

This year’s show is “Peter/Wendy,” a lyrical, atmospheric interpretation of “Peter Pan” in which Jeremy Bloom strips the familiar story down to its emotional essence. In the show, Peter lures Wendy away from her nursery to the magical world of Neverland, where she joins his adventures with Tinker Bell, Tiger Lily, and the menacing Captain Hook.

“A low-tech, inventive adaptation that pays homage to the darker themes of J. M. Barrie's original, ‘Peter/Wendy’ will mesmerize audiences of all ages,” the company said in a release.
