Authorities Investigate Homicide Of Somers Point Man

The pending cause of death is blunt-force trauma, according to the prosecutor.

SOMERS POINT, NJ — Authorities are investigating the homicide of a Somers Point man. Somers Hickman was found dead Monday in his home, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said.

An autopsy was conducted Tuesday. Blunt-force trauma is the pending cause of death, and homicide is the pending manner of death.

Neighbors called Somers Point police at 9:55 p.m. Monday to request a wellness check for Hickman. Police found the 67-year-old man dead in his Chapman Avenue home, the ACPO said.
