Bernie Sanders Rally in Atlantic City Set for Monday

The Democratic candidate will hold two rallies in New Jersey this weekend, ahead of the June 7 primary.

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders will campaign in New Jersey for two days next week, including a rally in Atlantic City on Monday.

Sanders will appear at the “Future to Believe In” rally at the Historic Adrian Phillips Ballroom at Boardwalk Hall. Doors open at 7:30 a.m.

The event is free and open to the public, but RSVPs are strongly encouraged. Admission is first come, first served.

General admission and ADA attendees may enter via the main entrance doors off of the boardwalk and adjacent to Kennedy Plaza.

The stop in Atlantic City follows a rally one day earlier by Sanders at Rutgers University. For information on that rally, click here.

Sanders’ rallies come about a month ahead of the Democratic Primary in New Jersey, on June 7. It is one of seven states that will hold its primary that day.

As of Friday morning, Hillary Clinton was leading the primary with 1,683 pledged delegates and 522 super delegates. Sanders has 1,362 pledged delegates and 39 super delegates. At total of 2,383 delegates are needed to secure the nomination.

Donald Trump is the only candidate left on the Republican side heading into a convention in which he is likely to see opposition to his candidacy from GOP party leaders. As of Friday morning, he had 1,053 of the 1,237 delegates needed to secure the party's nomination.
