Body Found In Cape May County Canal

New Jersey State Police have not identified the person.

LOWER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A man's body was pulled from a canal in Cape May County on Tuesday evening, New Jersey State Police said.

State police were called to the Cape May Canal in Lower Township at 5:59 p.m., Trooper Christopher Postorino said.

When they arrived the man's body had already been pulled from the canal, Postorino said.

The man's name, age and hometown have not been released as of Friday morning.

The investigation remains active, and no additional information is available at this time, Postorino said.
