Body Found On Jersey Shore Beach

The man's body was found early Monday morning at the Cove Beach in Cape May, according to authorities.

CAPE MAY, NJ — A death investigation is underway in Cape May after a body was found Monday morning at Cove Beach, authorities said.

Police found the man's body, believed to have been about 50 years old, Monday at Cove Beach near the end of Beach Drive, Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland and Cape May Police Chief Dekon Fashaw said in a joint statement.

An investigation was immediately launched.

The death is not suspicious and no foul play is suspected, Sutherland said. There is no harm to the public at this time.

This investigation is ongoing and more information may be released as it becomes available, Sutherland said.
