Broadway Star Carly Hughes to Appear in Ocean City June 24
Broadway on the OC Boardwalk kicks off the eighth season of the Greater Ocean Cit Theatre Company.

Broadway star Carly Hughes will join the professional members of the Greater Ocean City Theatre Company’s (OCTC) to open the company’s eighth official season with a Salute to Broadway.
Broadway on the OC Boardwalk is set for Wednesday night, June 24, 7:30 p.m. at the Historic Ocean City Music Pier. Actors will appear in productions of Damn Yankees, Shrek and The World Goes Round.
Before the show, Hughes will participate in a special meet-and-greet with members of the Greater Ocean City Theatre Company’s Junior Company.

“I know this will be a fabulous evening of entertainment that will feature something for everyone” OCTC Artistic Director Michael Hartman said.
Hughes, who was born in Columbia, Maryland and now calls New York City home, is a recipient of the prestigious Princess Grace Award for Acting.

She most recently starred as Velma Kelly in Chicago on Broadway, Pippin as the Leading Player and Beautiful as Lucille/Lead Shirelle. Other Broadway credits include: The Book of Mormon, Ghost, Ragtime, Putnam County Spelling Bee and The Grinch.
She sings all the music in the upcoming movie musical, Lucky Stiff.
