SEA TURTLE RECOVERY is hosting our annual brunch buffet to help save threatened and endangered sea turtles! This fundraising event features a brunch buffet, presentations highlighting our patients journey to recovery, and a silent auction. This year will feature our patients fight to survive the lightning strike and fire at our hospital. We will also have live music for entertainment between presentations by <a href="https://juliaroomesings.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Julia Roome</a>, finalist on season 24 of NBC’s “The Voice”.

The Women's Community Club of Cape May will meet on April 16, 2026, at 12:30 pm for light refreshments and program and meeting will begin at 1:00 pm. This occurs at 509 Pittsburgh Avenue, Cape May in Nelson Hall at Cape May Lutheran Church. Our program is on Cape May Real Estate property and presenter will give inform to us as to what to look for if buying and what you need to do if you are interested in selling your home.&nbsp; The presenter is Diane Kelly from Caldwell Banker Real Estate Property in Cape May. If you would like to meet a new friend or even bring a friend with you to our meeting. We would love to meet you. Our collection this month is for The Branches in Rio Grande. Non-perishables such as Spam, Cup of Noodles, Ramen, sliced bread, cookies, Mac &amp; Cheese, Coffee, Canned beef stew, Canned chicken, Juice boxes, kids' cereal,&nbsp;shampoo, conditioner, soap, deodorant, dish detergent, and men's/ladies' razors. Being that the month of April is Prevent Child Abuse in NJ, our members will be wearing blue for this cause. No registration is required to attend the meeting. Waterfront Marine

U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 81, is offering its Boat America boating safety class on Saturday, May 2, 2026. The class will be held at Waterfront Marine, located at 1 Goll Avenue in Somers Point. The course begins at 8:30 AM and runs to 5:00 PM. The cost of the course is $65.00, which includes all training materials. Lunch will not be provided but you can bring your own (we will take a&nbsp;short 30-minute break for lunch).&nbsp;There is one additional class scheduled for June 6, 2026 at St. Peter's United Methodist Church in Ocean City.&nbsp; Class size is limited, so please register as soon as possible. Boat America is the Auxiliary's basic safe boating class. New Jersey law requires all operators of power boats complete an approved boating safety class as a requirement for obtaining a NJ Boating Safety Certificate. This course will provide the knowledge necessary to obtain that certification, and includes the proctored exam. The all new Cape May Renaissance Faire brings the days of yore and times of wonder to Cape May.

Hear ye, Hear ye! Prepare to step back in time as the Cape May Renaissance Faire announces its grand opening, and transforms the Cape May County 4-H Fairgrounds into a bustling festival, May 2 &amp; 3, 2026. The new event promises immersive and whimsical fun, fantasy, music, crafts, food and drink; providing a unique escape for families and the young at heart.&nbsp;

The Cape May Renaissance Faire aims to bring the rich traditions of medieval-era entertainment to the local community, blending historical flair with fantastical fun. Attendees can try their hand at archery and axe throwing, shop with various artisanal vendors, or watch the many entertaining performances on 4 stages. Patrons are encouraged to dress in clothing of the bygone area, as the mythical character they wish to be, or just come as they are.

Highlights of the Inaugural Season Include:
<ul><li>Marketplace: Over 65 vendors showcasing handcrafted goods, including jewelry, leatherwork, and period clothing.</li><li>Immersive Atmosphere: Street performers, musicians, and costumed villagers bring the Faire to life.&nbsp; Make sure to place your vote for which queen rules the festival!</li><li>Feasts &amp; Sweets: Indulge in a Ren Faire must - the turkey leg or delicious BBQ, and quench your thirst with special themed - mocktails and lemonades.</li><li>Unique Performances: Witness the awe-inducing aerial performances of Shelli Buttons or the exhilarating battles of Armored Combat Wide.&nbsp; Enjoy the musical stylings of Chaste Treasure, Pieces of 8 or the Rowdy Rovers. Discover the thrill of a birds of prey show with Falconry Girl or the amazing juggling prowess of Bad Ideas Entertainment.&nbsp; Watch feats on horseback at the Daly Riders show.&nbsp; These are only a few examples of the amazing entertainment line up!</li></ul>

Kathak Dancer Joins Temporal Taal Collective
Experience the contrasts of Bay Atlantic Symphony paired with jazz infused Hindu sounds. Temporal Taal Collective’s soloists on tabla, bansuri flute and tenor sax join a Kathak dancer who adds her interpretations in movement. Ludwig van Beethoven’s 7 th Symphony and Drew Zaremba’s Nightfall Rhapsody explore varied journeys as they progress from soft improvisational sounds to driving and exhilarating rhythms. It all adds up to a multi-cultural experience with dynamism, fun, energy and virtuosic performances.
