ERMA, NJ --The Cape May County Board of County Commissioners recently celebrated the commencement of the second phase of the Tech Village initiative at the Cape May County airport. Building on the success of the initial phase I tech facility, which quickly reached full occupancy, this expansion involves the construction of a new 16,434-square-foot facility. The project, with an estimated cost of $6.45 million, is supported by nearly $3 million in funding from the U.S. Economic Development Administration. The multi-tenant facility will provide a dynamic and supportive environment for budding new industries to thrive and grow in Cape May County.

Distinguished speakers at the groundbreaking included Cape May County Commissioner Director Leonard C. Desiderio, Commissioner Bobby Barr, Commissioner Will Morey, Assemblyman Erik Simonsen, Lower Township Mayor Frank Sippel, along with EDA Philadelphia Regional Director, Linda Cruz Carnall. Other distinguished guests included Commissioner Melanie Collette, Commissioner Vice-Director Andrew Bulakowski, Assemblyman Antwan McClellan, and EDA’s David Cohen.
