Cape May County Government: Free Tax Return Preparation

RIO GRANDE, NJ – The Cape May County Division of Aging and Disability Services sponsors the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, offering free tax return preparation from February 1, 2024, through April 15, 2024. VITA volunteers provide free tax return preparation for individuals and families whose income is less than $66,000 a year.
Services are offered by appointment only at two locations, the Howard Stainton Senior Center in Ocean City and the Lower Cape Senior Center in Villas. Taxpayers must schedule an appointment to drop-off their tax documents and complete intake paperwork. Taxpayers will be given pickup instructions for their completed tax return.

Taxpayers must come prepared with documents including identification, income statements, IRS letters, social security cards, and information on medical expenses, housing, education, and childcare.
