The Cape May County Veteran’s Day Ceremony will take place on November 11 at 2 P.M. at the Cape May County Public Safety Training Center, 171 Crest Haven Road Cape May Court House. Invited speakers include, Cape May County Commissioner Director Leonard Desiderio, Commissioner Jeffrey Pierson, Congressman Jeff Van Drew, Clinton Holloway, SFC, USA (Ret), Iraq/Afghanistan Veteran, and Captain Warren D. Judge, Commanding Officer, USCG TRACEN, Cape May. The public is invited to attend as the Cape May County Board of County Commissioners thanks those who have served.

The Cape May County Park and Zoo will host two great events in November that will be fun for the whole family. Princess and Pirate Day at the Zoo will be held on November 11 from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M. Sponsored by the Cape May County Board of Commissioners, this event is free and open to the public. Visitors of all ages are invited to wear their best dress up apparel to this fun family event, which includes activities for the kids, craft station, games, entertainment, animals, inflatable pirate ship and more.

Also, the Park and Zoo will hold Santa's Tree Lighting Celebration on November 25 from 2 P.M. to 6 P.M. Park and Zoo staff and the County Commissioners will welcome families and residents to this great event. The celebration will include live holiday music by the John Walter Cape Community Band, craft vendors, bounce house castle & slide, character appearances, free treats for all and a visit by the jolly man himself in the red suit.
