Cape May County Man Charged With Heroin Distribution

Harold Perez-Heredia was arrested on Wednesday.

A Cape May County man has been charged with the distribution of heroin, Cape May County Prosecutor Robert L. Taylor and Middle Township Police Chief Christopher Leusner said on Thursday.

Harold Perez-Heredia, 24, of Middle Township, was charged with third-degree distribution of heroin and third-degree possession of heroin following a court-authorized search at the Wildwood Park Motel, in the Burleigh section of Middle Township, where he was staying, on Wednesday.

Investigators seized over $2,000 worth of heroin and over $6,000 in currency.

He was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Facility in lieu of $40,000.00 full cash bail.

The arrest was the result of a cooperative investigation between the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office, Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force and the Middle Township Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit.

Taylor continues to urge the citizens of Cape May County to report any information regarding illegal drug activity and or any criminal activity within community.
