Cape May County Reaches 10 Coronavirus Deaths
Two more residents at a North Cape May nursing home died from COVID-19, according to county officials.
CAPE MAY COUNTY, NJ — Two more residents at a North Cape May nursing home died from the new coronavirus, county officials announced Tuesday. Ten people in the county have died from COVID-19, including eight residents at nursing home Victoria Manor.
The Cape May County Health Department has reported 179 cases as of Tuesday — 152 active cases, 17 people cleared off quarantine and 10 deaths.

Officials reported one more active case in Ocean City on Tuesday, bringing the city to 12 active cases. Two people in Ocean City have been cleared off quarantine.
Twenty-six residents and 24 employees at Victoria Manor have tested positive for the virus, including the eight residents who died. Officials announced Tuesday the death of a 73-year-old woman and 93-year-old man who lived there.

The State Health Department's epidemiologist and CMCHD's public-health nurses have investigated and provided guidance documents and protective gear for all long-term care facilities in the county, officials said.
