Cape Regional Waives Costs For Affected Workers During Shutdown
Waived costs will include urgent-care centers in Marmora, Cape May Court House and Wildwood.

As the federal government shutdown continues, affected workers around Cape May County will have one less thing to worry about in a medical emergency. Cape Regional Medical Center announced Monday that it will waive all copays and deductibles for emergency-room visits from furloughed employees or their family during the shutdown.
Employees just need to show their government ID upon arrival. Cape Regional Health System includes several locations around the Jersey Shore, such as urgent-care centers in Marmora, Cape May Court House and Wildwood.
Local furloughed federal employees include the Coast Guard in Cape May, the nation's fifth-largest Coast Guard base. Coast Guard members have not been paid since the end of 2018, according to the Military Times.
