Coast Guard Rescues 3 Off Ocean City Coast
They fell off their paddle boards Thursday morning, but were rescued and taken to the 10th Street Pier.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — The Coast Guard rescued three people who fell off their paddle boards and became stuck in a marsh near Ocean City on Thursday, according to authorities.
A 29-foot Response Boat-Small rescue crew from Station Ocean City responded to the scene at about 10:45 a.m., according to the Coast Guard.They took the three people and their paddle boards to the nearby 10th Street Pier. All three people were safe.
“Communications are key whether you are on a paddle board or a power boat,” said Lt. Peter Harrington, command duty officer at Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay. “Whenever you’re venturing out onto the water, always make sure you have a reliable means of communication, such as a VHF radio in the event you’re in trouble, to help rescuers get to you quickly and accurately.”
