Coast Guard Rescues Man Off Cape May County Coast

A 57-year-old man suffered a head injury while on a boat Saturday afternoon.

The Coast Guard rescued a 57-year-old man who suffered a head injury while on board a 25-foot recreational boat off the coast of Wildwood Crest around 1 p.m. Saturday.

Station Cape May launched a 47-foot Motor Lifeboat crew to assist, the Coast Guard said Saturday afternoon. The boat crew arrived on scene four minutes after receiving the initial notification and transported the man to awaiting emergency medical personnel at Coast Guard Training Center Cape May.

New Jersey State Police also responded.
