Coast Guard Searching for Missing Man off Ocean City Coast
Andrew Bittle was reported missing following an accident while operating a pontoon boat Sunday night.
The Coast Guard is searching for a missing boater off the coast of Ocean City.
Andrew Bittle, 45, was reported missing following a boating accident near Longport Sunday night.
The Longport Police contacted Coast Guard watchstanders around 11:30 p.m. to report that a boater had swam ashore after being in an accident while onboard a pontoon boat. Bittle, the boat's operator, was reported missing.
A crew aboard a 25-foot Response Boat - Small from Coast Guard Station Atlantic City, an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City and a Longport Fire boat crew are searching for him.
