Coastal Flood Advisory In Effect For Ocean City Sunday
The advisory will be in effect Sunday morning.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — A Coastal Flood Advisory is in effect for Ocean City from 6 a.m. to noon Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.
Water levels are expected to peak in the hours around high tide on the bay side of Ocean City at about 8:31 a.m. Sunday, according to a Special Weather Statement issued by city officials.
Forecasters predict a tide at about 6 feet on the mean low water scale. Tides on Sept. 19, by comparison, reached 6.57 feet as Hurricane Jose passed by offshore.

Street flooding could occur prior to high tide and may last for several hours. Residents should monitor conditions and be prepared to move vehicles from areas that typically experience flooding.
The roads closer to the beach including Central and Wesley avenues are at higher elevation. These roads also offer the safest routes of travel across the length of the island
