SOMERS POINT, NJ — The new coronavirus makes it difficult to "celebrate good times." But when a coronavirus patient gets discharged from Shore Medical Center, the hospital has good reason to do so.

Whenever a coronavirus patient gets discharged, Shore plays "Celebration" by Kool & The Gang on the overhead sound system.

The new tradition not only celebrates the patient's recovery process but also celebrates the clinical team's work. And it provides a brief, uplifting moment during the pandemic.
