Council's Final Meeting Of 2017 Set For Thursday Afternoon
Ocean City Council will meet at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 28.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Ocean City Council will hold its end of the year meeting on Thursday afternoon, Dec. 28, 1 p.m., at City Hall, 861 Asbury Avenue in Ocean City.
Council will consider a $7,863,006.62 contract with Atlantic City based L. Feriozzi Concrete Company for north end drainage improvements. To see a breakdown of the expenses, view the agenda packet on the city’s website.
It will also consider a $318,725 contract with Atlantic City based Hackney Concrete for downtown streetscape improvements. The project includes improvements at various locations along Asbury Avenue, according to a memo included in the agenda packet.

This includes brick paver crosswalks in all four directions at the intersection of 8th Street and Asbury Avenue, as well as concrete sidewalk with some concrete curb and rubber tree surrounds along Asbury Avenue, 10th Street, 8th Street.
A $448,500 contract with Egg Harbor Township based Arthur R. Henry Inc. for 9th Street outfall improvements will also be considered. The existing ocean outfall will be replaced by a 36” iron pipe.

Additionally, council will consider awarding a $145,500 contract to Millville based Gaudelli Brothers Inc. for improvements to various buildings in Ocean City, including the HVAC systems at the fire station on the 4500 block of West Avenue. Electrical wiring will be installed at City Hall and an electrical vehicle wiring station will be installed in the parking lot behind City Hill. It would be able to charge two cars at the same time.
