'Dancing For Hailey' Raises Cancer Awareness In Ocean City
The second annual event is held in memory of Hailey Parker, a 10-year-old girl who was diagnosed with cancer in 2015.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Hailey Parker was 10 years old when she was diagnosed with Stage IV brain cancer in March of 2015. The diagnosis didn't down the little girl who loved to eat mint chocolate chip ice cream and dance with her friends down. Instead, she wanted to help other children who had cancer.
Parker and her cousins went to work. They set up a lemonade stand in their front yard and raised $527 for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. Alex's Lemonade Stand promotes awareness for childhood cancers, raise money for research and encourage others, especially children, to get involved and make a difference for children with cancer.
On Sunday, June 10, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Ocean City kids will carry on her wish in her memory with the second annual “Dancing For Hailey” Dance Party and Lemonade Stand in front of The Dance Place. Last year, they raised over $20,000, and they hope to exceed that goal this year. The suggested donation for entry is $10.
