Dead, 'Mutilated' Goat Found At Jersey Shore Property: Police

Police say that whatever happened to the goat, found dead and mutilated in Cape May Court House, occurred overnight on Halloween.

MIDDLE TWP., NJ — Police are investigating after a goat was found dead and "mutilated" on a property in a Cape May County town.

Police were called to Shunpike Road in the Cape May Court House section of Middle Township for a report of animal cruelty on Nov. 1.

When they arrived to the property, officers found a goat "mutilated and deceased," police said.

Officers are unsure if the suspect(s) fled on foot or in a vehicle, but said the incident happened overnight on Halloween.

Authorities are currently investigating the matter.
