Desiderio Again Sworn In As Cape May County Commissioner Director

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE, NJ — Commissioner Leonard C. Desiderio was sworn in for his eighth term on the Cape May County Board of Commissioners at their reorganization meeting Thursday, the county shared in a news release.

Desiderio will also serve as Director of the Board again for a one-year term. Commissioner Andrew Bulakowski will serve as Vice Director for 2025.

He was sworn in by Former Superior Court Judge Michael Donohue, Esq. Holding the Bible are his wife, Carmela and his daughter, Carmela. Both Desiderio and Bulakowski were also sworn in by Donohue to serve as Director and Vice Director.

The Reorganization meeting was opened with the Presentation of Colors by the Cape May County Sheriff’s Office Color Guard, with the Pledge of Allegiance led by Joseph Harris, DAV 44. The invocation was offered by Pastor Scott Durbin, and Benediction was offered by Antwan McClellan, Assemblyman LD 1. Colleen Pond, from Sea Isle City, sang the National Anthem and God Bless America.

Commissioner Bobby Barr, Commissioner Melanie Collette, Commissioner Vice Director Bulakowski, and Commissioner Director Desiderio followed the ceremony with public comments.
