Detours On 34th Street This Week

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Prepare for detours this week as 34th Street will be closed between West Avenue and Asbury Avenue for milling and final resurfacing improvements, according to OCNJ Daily.

On Wednesday, March 23 and Thursday, March 24, both westbound and eastbound traffic will be detoured.

Eastbound traffic will be detoured south onto West Avenue, east to 36th Street and north to Asbury Avenue back to 34th Street.

Westbound traffic will be detoured north onto Asbury Avenue, west onto 33rd Street, south onto West Avenue and back to 34th Street.

Two-way traffic will temporarily resume Wednesday night and permanently resume at the end of the workday on Thursday. Motorists are urged to use caution along the detour route.
