Don McLean Joins Ocean City Summer Concert Series

OCEAN CITY, NJ — A new show has been added to Ocean City's summer concert lineup. Don McLean is bringing his 50th Anniversary "American Pie" Tour to Music Pier this summer.

The show is set for Aug. 7 at 7 p.m.

Tickets for the show go on sale Thursday at 10 a.m. A limited number will also be available in-person for locals.

McLean will be joined by special guest Al Stewart with his band The Empty Pockets.

He's best known for the 1971 hit "American Pie," the eight-and-a-half minute ballad about "the day that music died."
