Donations Sought For Food And Goods Drive In Ocean City
The Ocean City Police Department and the Ocean City Ecumenical Council Food Cupboard need donations as part of "Faith and Blue Weekend."
OCEAN CITY, NJ — Ocean City is participating in a nationwide program called "Faith and Blue Weekend," and you can help by donating food and supplies.
This is the second year that the Ocean City Police Department and the Ocean City Ecumenical Council Food Cupboard is participating in the event.
Faith and Blue is an organization whose goal is to connect law enforcement agencies and local faith-based communities. Faith and Blue Weekend is being celebrated nationwide from Oct. 6 to 9.

All participating departments across the country are doing different events unique to their community.
The Ocean City “Food and Goods Drive” will be open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8, with police vehicles stationed in front of the ACME supermarkets at both 800 West Ave. and 3428 Simpson Ave.

The Ecumenical Food Cupboard serves all in need in Ocean City. Requested donations include baby-related items (formula, diapers, etc.), male and female hygiene products (deodorant, detergent, soap) and canned food items.
