Ebose Eigbe Repeats as South Jersey Spelling Bee Champion
He won this year's event at Galloway Middle School after 30 rounds of competition.
Galloway Township Middle School seventh grader Ebose Eigbe is on his way back to the Scripps National Spelling Bee.
Eigbe punched his ticket with a victory in the South Jersey Spelling Bee Saturday, March 23, at the middle school.
It took 30 rounds for Eigbe to edge 30 challengers, and he captured the title by correctly spelling the word, "cease," according to Roland Rogers fifth grade teacher Brian Dunn.
