OCEAN CITY, NJ — After a long campaign season, Election Day 2019 is fast approaching in Ocean City. There are a number of races on the ballot in Ocean City on Tuesday, Nov. 5, including the school board.

Here is everything you need to know about Election Day in your town:

Six candidates are running for three open three-year terms on the Ocean City Board of Education: J. Tiffany Prettyman; Gregory Whelan; Dale F. Braun, Jr.; Conor Fleming; Patrick Kane; Melissa Flink.

Two are vying for a two-year term in the State Senate for the 1st Legislative district: Bob Andrzejczak (Democratic) and Mike Testa (Republican).

Residents will also vote for two candidates to represent the 1st Legislative district in the State Assembly: Republicans Erik Simonsen and Antwan McClellan and Democrats R. Bruce Land and Matthew W. Milam. The terms last two years.

Two three-year positions are available on the Board of Chosen Freeholders. The candidates are Republicans Gerald M. Thornton and E. Marie Hayes and Democrats Joyce P. Gould and Elizabeth F. Casey.

Ocean City Council seats are not up for election this year.

Where do I vote?

Your polling place is included on a sample ballot mailed out to all registered voters. If you're still not sure, or you misplaced that sample ballot, you can look up your polling location on the New Jersey Division of Election's website.

Note: Because the front entrance to United Methodist Communities The Shores (the former Wesley Manor) is under construction, voters in Ward 3, District 1 must use the back entrance to the polling place there. The back entrance is accessible via the parking lot driveway off 23rd Street, and signage will be provided to direct voters.

When can I vote?

Election Day 2019 is Tuesday, Nov. 5. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
