Emergency Council Meeting Set In Ocean City

OCEAN CITY, NJ — An emergency City Council meeting has been scheduled for Dec. 11.

Council will meet at 10 a.m. and formal action will be taken at the meeting, according to a notice from the city. The public is invited to attend.

A reason for the special meeting was not given, though the notice states that the Open Public Meetings Act "permits a public body to meet even in the absence of adequate public notice to deal with matters of such urgency and importance that a delay for the purpose of providing adequate notice would be likely to result in substantial harm to the public interest."

A regular City Council meeting is still scheduled for Dec. 7. While no agenda has been shared for Monday's meeting, you can find the agenda for Thursday's meeting here.
