An evening of Broadway favorites will come to life as professional members of the Ocean City Theatre Company's (OCTC) 2011 Season join Tony Award Nominee and Broadway Star Robert Cuccioli in an exciting look at American Musical Theatre. The event scheduled for 7:30 PM on June 29, 2011 at the historic Ocean City Music Pier will be a perfect way to kickoff the fourth official Season of the Ocean City Theatre Company.

            After a successful casting search in NYC, Philadelphia, and Ocean City, OCTC saw over 500 actors interested in the 2011 Broadway Series with the Ocean City POPS. Actors appearing in productions of The Music Man, Annie, Schoolhouse Rock and CATS will share their talents on June 29^th.

       ROBERT CUCCIOLI headlines Broadway on the Boardwalk  and is one of the most popular stars in theater today. As the Tony nominated star of the smash hit musical Jekyll and Hyde, his talents amazed all at each performance. Mr. Cuccioli made his Broadway debut as Javert in Les Miserables.

       In 1996, Bob was presented the JOSEPH JEFFERSON AWARD for his portrayal of Jekyll/Hyde on the successful road tour of this production. He was also presented with the OUTER CRITICS CIRCLE AWARD, the DRAMA DESK AWARD, and the FANY AWARD as Best Actor in a Musical  and was honored with a prestigious TONY nomination for Best Actor in a Musical. He also appeared in the Broadway production of Kander and Ebb’s Revue And The World Goes Round.

       Bob's career continues to grow with leading roles in shows such as Carousel, Guys & Dolls, 42^nd Street, The Sound of Music, Bells Are Ringing, A Little Night Music and Funny Girl.  

      The “Broadway on the Boardwalk Cabaret” is being produced by Greater Ocean City Theatre Company Artistic Director Michael Hartman and will feature OCTC’s Resident Music Director Jonathan Kreamer on the piano.  The evening is a fundraiser for the 501c3 not-for-profit Greater Ocean City Theatre Company.
