Icons of Jazz Music Lecture Series

The Ocean City Free Public Library is pleased to host a six week Music Lecture Series focusing on the Icons of Jazz. The talks will take place on six consecutive Sundays (4/22, 4/29, 5/6, 5/13, 5/20, 5/27) from 2:00 - 3:30 p.m. in the library’s lecture Room #110. Jazz icons Louis Armstrong; Duke Ellington; Dizzy Gillespie; Charlie Parker; Thelonious Monk; McCoy Tyner; Sonny Rollins; John Coltrane; Cannonball Adderley and more will be covered in the presentations! This series will document and explore why these musicians are so important to the overall history and development of this truly wonderful American Art Form, Jazz! There will be lecture, discussion, music, and film. Michael Pedicin and Bob Ferguson will present the lectures. Entry to the Room is located on the 17^th Street side of the library.
