"Peter and The Wolf" Night Soundings

"Peter and The Wolf" by Sergei Prokofiev are coming to St. Peter's. Organist John Bate leads us through this wonderful tale for children and adults with the assistance of percussion and narrator. Bate has been Music Director and Organist at St. Peter's since 1987. He is also the Musical Director and Conductor of the Masterworks Choir of Ocean City. He earned two degrees (Bachelor and Masters in Music with a concentration in Sacred Music and organ) from Westminster Choir College. His organ teachers included Eugen Roan and he studied conducting with Dr. Joseph Flummerfelt, conductor of the famed Westminster Choir.
