Experts To Discuss School Security At Ocean City High School

The Cape May County Schools Boards Association will meet at the high school Tuesday night.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — State and local experts will discuss school safety during the Cape May School Boards Association’s meeting at Ocean City High School Tuesday night, 6 p.m.-9 p.m.

The experts will compose a panel that will conduct an open dialogue with board members. An architect will also be in attendance to discuss simple changes that can be made to help ensure the safety of the student body. The meeting is closed to the public.

Ocean City Superintendent of Schools Kathleen Taylor will discuss the connection between mental health awareness and school security, according to ocnjdaily.com. Ocean City Intermediate School Principal Geoffrey Haines will discuss how local schools handle security, along with Rich McHale, the head of security at Cape May County Technical School. A representative from the Ocean City Police Department will also be in attendance.
