Fall Block Party, Fireworks Set For Saturday In Ocean City

Rain or shine, more than 400 crafters, vendors and entertainers will line the streets for this popular autumn event.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — It's time for Ocean City's most popular autumn event. The Fall Block Party is set for Oct. 8, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Join rain or shine as more than 400 crafters, vendors and entertainers line a mile of downtown Asbury Avenue between Fifth Street and 14th Street. Tens of thousands of guests come to Ocean City for this annual event.

Entertainers and bands will perform at different spots along the block from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., incluind favorites like Big Daddy, the Pennsport String Band, Keith Hickman and Chad Juros with Captivate Entertainment.

During that same time period, pony rides for kids will be available at the grounds of Ocean City Tabernacle (at Sixth Street and Asbury Avenue).

Street parking is free at all metered spots and municipal parking lots in Ocean City during the event.

The evening is capped off with a fireworks display at 9 p.m. Fireworks will be launched from a barge off of Ocean City Music Pier and can be best viewed from the Boardwalk and beach between Fifth Street and 14th Street.

Throughout the weekend, there will also be table sales by downtown and boardwalk merchants with discounted merchandise set up between Sixth Street and 14th Street on the boardwalk and Asbury Avenue.
