Flood Advisory In Effect For Ocean City
The National Weather Service issued a Flood Advisory for the area from 7 p.m. Thursday to 1 a.m. Friday.

The National Weather Service issued a Flood Advisory for Ocean City, which runs from 7 p.m. Thursday to 1 a.m. Friday. Officials predict minor flooding but says conditions could get worse if heavy rain collides with high tide.
Street flooding is likely prior to a high tide and may last several hours, according to Ocean City's Office of Emergency Management. Vehicles should be removed from areas that typically experience tidal flooding. Roads closer to the beach, including Central and Wesley Avenues are typically at higher elevation, the EOM says.
The NWS predicts a water level of 5.8 feet on the mean low water scale for a high tide at 9:42 p.m. on the bay side of Ocean City. For your safety, never attempt to drive through flood waters and don't drive around barricades, the EOM says.
