Flooding In Ocean City As Nor'easter Hits

Flooding was reported in various areas of Ocean City on Wednesday.

Mayr Jay A. Gillian said the National Weather Service has decreased its prediction for snow accumulation. "They’re now calling for 2 to 3 inches. While the amount may not be great, the heavy mix will make the roads slippery, so please use caution and limit travel if possible."

"Our biggest concern remains street flooding. The (last) high tide (came) at 11:49 a.m. at the Ninth Street Bridge. We’re asking everybody to be prepared to move vehicles to higher ground. An even higher tide is expected just after midnight tonight (12:08 a.m.). Our latest weather statement includes more detail on the forecast and on places where you can park cars."

Here are some of the areas that reportedly had flooding:

• 3rd and Simpson Ave
• 45th and West
• 32nd cross street coming on to Haven and Simpson
• Haven Ave and 50th St
• 30th St between West and Simpson Aves.
