Flooding Reported In South Jersey As 2 Inches Of Rain Drenches Atlantic City

Rain pounded South Jersey on Monday.

Flooding began around the time of high tide in Atlantic City and Wildwood around 10 a.m. as rain pounded South Jersey Monday morning, according to The Press of Atlantic City.

One of the hardest hit areas has been near the bay in Atlantic City. The George Redding Bridge going into Wildwood has also been closed due to flooding. North Wildwood was using a humvee equipped with a snorkel that prevents the exhaust system from becoming submerged to deal with flooding, according to the report.

Atlantic City saw almost 2 inches of rain on Monday.

A Flood Advisory that had been in effect expired at 4:30 p.m.
