Fly In A Real WWII Plane In South Jersey

Take tours of and fly in real airplanes from World War II.

Ever wondered what it would be like to fly in a World War II era airplane? You can find out later this month when the Wings of Freedom Tour brings antique airplanes to South Jersey.

The tour will make two stops in the area, beginning next week. First up is a stop at the Millville Municipal Airport in Millville, Aug. 29 to Aug. 31. After that, it's the Cape May County Airport in Cape May, Aug. 31 to Sept. 3.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children. Airplane rides range from $400 a person to $3,200 for flight training.

You can check out a restored B-25 Mitchell, a B-17 Flying Fortress, a B-24 Liberator, and one of the last remaining P-51D Mustangs. The event is sponsored by the Collings Foundation, a non-profit that encourages historical education through participation.
