Four Ocean City Wrestlers Advance to Regional Round
As a team, the Red Raiders finished seventh out of 10 teams.

Four Ocean City High School wrestlers have advanced to the regional round of their respective individual championship tournaments.
David Levin, Jeremiah Johnson and Will Nickerson advanced with runner-up finishes in their weight classes during the District 32 tournament at Absegami High School on Saturday, according to nj.com. Nick McCardell advanced by placing third at 113 pounds.
Levin advanced to the 126-pound final, where he was pinned by St. Augustine’s Steven Schwab in two minutes, 39 seconds. Levin advanced to the final with a 7-4 win over Oakcrest’s Reec Kreischer in the semifinals.

Johnson made it to the 152-pound final before falling to St. Augustine’s Colin Donahue, 4-2. Johnson advanced to the final with a 5-0 win over Absegami’s Andrew Marcucci in the semifinals.
Nickerson was the victim of a major decision by St. Augustine’s Nick Clark in the 160-pound final. He made it to the final with a 5-0 win over Mainland’s David Cullen in the semifinals.

As a team, Ocean City finished seventh out of 10 teams with 65 points. St. Augustine won the district title with 260.5 points, and Egg Harbor Township was second with 175 points.
