Frankenstein Art Display Comes to Ocean City Library Oct. 1-Nov. 1

From Frightening to Funny Part II comes to the library next month. Curator Ron MacCloskey performs a fan tribute to the monster on Oct. 23.

A display of artwork inspired by one of the world’s most popular horror stories is coming to the Ocean City Public Library.

β€œFrom Frightening To Funny” Part II, a display of Frankenstein artwork, will be shown from Oct. 1 to Nov. 1. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

On Thursday, Oct. 23, Curator Ron MacCloskey will perform a show he wrote titled β€œThe World of Frankenstein - A Fan’s Tribute To The Monster.”

Mary Shelley wrote Frankenstein in the summer of 1816, a summer of cooler temperatures and wetter weather than most.

Shelley and her troupe were forced to stay indoors and decided to have a ghost writing competition. Shelley produced Frankenstein.
