Free Meals For Ocean City Area Kids Are A Text Away

OCEAN CITY, NJ — As schools are getting out the folks at No Kid Hungry are making available breakfast and lunch for school-aged students in various locations throughout New Jersey.

Those in need can simply text "FOOD" to 877877 and type in a zip code when prompted and they receive a message with the closest location where they can get free summer meals.

According to officials, many kids who rely on school meals struggle to get enough to eat during the summer months and No Kid Hungry is combating this with their free summer meal program at schools and community centers.

In the Ocean City area, the nearest summer meals sites are:

G LARRY JAMES FOUND SUMM, DR VERA FARRIS DR, POMONA

• Stockton University
• July 8-Aug. 23, Monday through Friday, breakfast at 9 a.m., lunch/supper at noon

ST PAUL'S AME CHURCH

• 1205 Harrison Ave., Pleasantville
• July 8-Aug. 2, Monday through Friday, breakfast at 9 a.m., lunch/supper at noon

• July 9-Aug. 23, Monday through Friday, breakfast at 9 a.m., lunch/supper at noon
