Fridays With Friends Events In OC To Include Self Defense Classes
Events are for teenagers in Ocean City and Upper Township and are at the community center.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — During the next two Fridays, teenagers from Ocean City Upper Township are invited to hang out and participate in various activities at the Ocean City Community Center. “Fridays With Friends events are for students in eighth through 12th grades, and will be held on Dec. 8 and Dec. 16. Teens must show a school identification, but there is no cost to participate.
The events always include pizza and music. They include swimming, wallyball, Xbox games, movies and ping-pong. Self-defense classes with instructor Mike Copeland and holiday games will be part of the upcoming editions. They will run from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Ocean City Community Center, located at 1735 Simpson Avenue.
The Municipal Alliance Committee, Ocean City Police Department and Community Policing Unit, Ocean City Free Public Library, Ocean City Aquatic and Fitness Center, Ocean City Recreation Department and the Ocean City and Sea Isle City School Districts co-sponsor the seasonal series of events. - Dec. 8: 7 to 10 p.m. at the Ocean City Community Center
- Dec. 15: 7 to 10 p.m. at the Ocean City Community Center
- Jan. 12: 7 to 10 p.m. at the Ocean City Community Center
- Jan. 19: 7 to 10 p.m. at the Ocean City Community Center
- Feb. 9: 7 to 10 p.m. at the Ocean City Community Center
- Feb. 16: 7 to 10 p.m. at the Ocean City Community Center
- March 2: 7 to 10 p.m. at the Ocean City Civic Center (6th Street and Boardwalk)
- March 16: 7 to 10 p.m. at the Ocean City Community Center
