Glass Art, Oil Paintings Highlight Ocean City Arts Center May Exhibit
The exhibit opens May 1 and runs through May 30 at the Ocean City Arts Center.
OCEAN CITY, NJ — The May exhibit at the Ocean City Arts Center will feature glass art by Peter Galetto and oil paintings by Ted Walsh.
The show opens May 1 and runs through May 30. A "Meet the Artists" reception will be held on Friday, May 12 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Galetto, a Millville-based glass blower, is known for his stunning sculptures and intricate vases. In 2020, Galetto donated a 16-glass piece to Inspira Medical Center in Mullica Hill inspired by the bravery and resilience of medical workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He also serves as the president of Stanker & Galetto, a general contracting firm in Vineland and is an honorary board member at Wheaton Arts.
Walsh is the recipient of two Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grants and served twice as the artist-in-residence at the Gettysburg National Military Park. In addition to his painting process, Walsh has taught at universities as a professor, led workshops, and traveled the country as an art speaker. His work reflects his love of history and traditional oil techniques with modern subjects.

The Ocean City Arts Center is located on the second floor in the Community Center at 1735 Simpson Avenue. Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. The Arts Center is closed on Sunday. For further information, call (609) 399-7628.
