Goal Looks to be Strength for Ocean City Nor'easters Again in 2016
The team has one returning goalie from last year, and adds six new goalies to the roster.

Ocean City, NJ -- The Ocean City Nor’easters soccer club has one goalie from last year’s squad back in net this season. He will be joined by six other goalkeepers as the team looks to solidify what has traditionally been a strength for the club over the years, the club said Thursday morning.
Since joining the PDL in 2003, seven netminders have moved on to the professional level.
Andrew Garcia, a returning player from the 2015 campaign, has agreed to come back to Ocean City for another year of PDL action. Garcia played his senior season at Saint Francis University, where he has played in 37 career games, tallying 18 wins and 129 saves. The Sicklerville native finds himself not so far from home in Ocean City for this PDL season where he hopes to help the club as an experienced shot-stopper.

Logan Ketterer, a senior at Bradley University, comes to the team having played 16 games (1,440 minutes played). He's accrued 67 saves with eight wins and eight losses, allowing only 16 goals all of last season. Hailing from Racine, Wisconsin, the 6'2 goalkeeper will no doubt add to the Nor'easters talent pool of keepers this season.
Tomas Correa is spending his first summer season in the PDL with the Nor'easters, finishing his first year at Pfeiffer University. Correa played in 17 games last year, allowing 11 goals and making 53 saves in his first collegiate season. The Portugal native has shown himself time and time again to be a promising young goalkeeper that can be a major player this season for the Nor'easters.

Mike Kirk will be enjoying his summer with the Nor'easters, the La Salle senior will come off a 30-game season making 120 saves, securing 12 wins and 13 losses with 3 draws. Totaling a combined 2,711 minutes of proven time in net, Kirk will have another opportunity to as he enters the PDL with the club.
Three local New Jersey natives will call Ocean City home this summer.
Matthew McCormick, the Galloway resident, started 18 games for Wheeling Jesuit University making a season total of 80 saves.
Maple Shade native and FDU Sophomore, Brian Hochstuhl, played in one game this season for the team and looks to add depth to the roster in the goalkeeper position.
Also joining the club is Brad Watkins, an Egg Harbor native who attends Kean University. His impressive record includes play in six games with 556 minutes and making 22 saves.
