Guarded Beaches In Ocean City For The Week

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Only two Ocean City beaches are left guarded throughout the week, though a few more are on the weekends.

Officials continue to emphasize the importance of only swimming when lifeguards are present, especially with the rash of unguarded beach drownings this summer.

For Sept. 19 through Sept. 25, here are Ocean City's guarded beaches:

• St. Charles (Saturday & Sunday Only)
• 8th Street
• 9th Street
• 10th Street (Saturday & Sunday Only)
• 11th Street (Saturday & Sunday Only)
• 12th Street (Saturday & Sunday Only)
• 34th Street (Saturday & Sunday Only)

Beaches are guarded by Ocean City Beach Patrol from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekends and holidays and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays.
