The Cape May Health Department recommends those who may have come in contact to have a post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP), a hepatitis A vaccine and/or immune globulin that can reduce the risk of acquiring the disease. Individuals should receive the PEP as soon as possible but no later than Feb. 14, officials said.

The risk to people who went to that Dunkin' Donuts is low, according to officials. Dunkin' Donuts has worked closely with Cape May County Health staff, according to officials. All employees affected were identified and were able to return to work after receiving PEP, officials said.
