How To Vote By Mail In Ocean City's Upcoming Election
The novel coronavirus will prevent in-person voting. Here's how to vote by mail for the May 12 election.
OCEAN CITY, NJ — Ocean City's upcoming election won't include any in-person voting because of the novel coronavirus. Governor Phil Murphy ordered officials to conduct May 12 elections only through mail ballots.
All four City Council ward positions are up for election May 12, although three of the four ward elections are uncontested.

Here are the candidates (four-year terms):
- First Ward: Michael DeVlieger
- Second Ward: Tomaso Rotondi
- Third Ward: Jody J. Levchuk
- Third Ward: Anthony P. Wilson
- Fourth Ward: Robert S. Barr

- First Ward: Longport Bridge to north side of 4th Street.
- Second Ward: south side of 4th Street to north side of 12th Street.
- Third Ward: south side of 12th Street to north side of 26th Street.
- Fourth Ward: south side of 26th Street to 59th Street, including Ocean Reef.
How to Vote by Mail
Casting the ballot: Look for the official ballot — not the sample ballot — in your regular mail. Complete and return the ballot, which must be postmarked by May 12. Postage is prepaid.
Registering or updating your mailing address: Visit capemaycountyvotes.com to print forms that must be returned — postage prepaid — by April 21, 2020.
Requesting a vote-by-mail ballot: If you are living away from your permanent address, you can have a ballot mailed to your temporary address. Visit capemaycountyvotes.com to print forms that can be returned up to seven days prior to the election.
