Humane Society of Ocean City to Host Annual Golf Fundraiser

Donations and proceeds will be used for direct care of the animals at the shelter.

Ocean City, NJ -- The Humane Society of Ocean City (HSOC) will hold its annual fundraising golf tournament on Thursday, June 9, at Harbor Pines Country Club in Egg Harbor Township.

The 18-hole scramble tournament begins with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Players must be signed in by 12:30 p.m.

Registration is $125 per golfer and $480 for a foursome. Registration includes course fees and dinner. Single entrants are welcome and may be assigned to a team based on availability.

There will be prizes for longest drive and closest to the pin, as well as raffles and a silent auction. Sponsorships are available in various amounts. Donations are tax deductible, and will be used for direct care of the animals at the shelter.

“The golf tournament has become a popular annual event, and since any government funding we receive is less than 10 percent of our budget, fundraisers like this are critical for us to continue the important work we do for Ocean City,” HSOC Executive Director Bill Hollingsworth said. “We certainly hope the community will turn out and support us at this year’s tournament.”
