International Women's Day Dinner In South Jersey Is Saturday

International Women's Day is a day when women are recognized for their achievements without regard to divisions, whether national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political. In many countries around the world, it is a national holiday.

In South Jersey, International Women’s Day will be celebrated on Saturday, March 3, at Sofia's Restaurant, 9314 Amherst Avenue in Margate. The reception begins at 5 p.m., followed by a dinner at 6 p.m. The theme is “Marching Forward.”

International Women's Day first emerged from the activities of labor movements at the turn of the twentieth century in North America and across Europe.
