Intoxicated Driver Crashes Into Bulkhead In Ocean City: Officials

The Georgia resident hit a fire hydrant and ran through a fence before striking the bayside bulkhead, a city spokesperson told Patch.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — A Georgia man was charged with DWI after crashing into a bayside bulkhead on Thursday, Ocean City spokesperson Doug Bergen told Patch.

Dulce Crane, 56, from Richmond Hill, Georgia, was also issued several traffic summonses, Bergen said. He has since been released from custody.

Shortly after 4 p.m. on Nov. 17, Crane hit a fire hydrant, ran through a fence and then crashed into a bayside bulkhead on W. 10th Street, Bergen said.

Multiple people called police to report an "erratic driver" in the area, Bergen said.

Crane's car, a Nissan Quest, was badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene, Bergen said.
