It's Restaurant Week in Ocean City

In its fifth year, Ocean City Restaurant Week is becoming an important part of Ocean City's special events calendar. During Restaurant Week, participating restaurants offer two-for-one deals from special menus.

The week began on Monday and and continues through Saturday, June 22.

About 30 restaurants are currently participating in the event sponsored by the Ocean City Restaurant Association.

The specials include an array of multi-course meals from special menus at restaurants such as the Island Grill Seafood and Steak House, Cousins Restaurant, Clancy's By The Sea and Jon & Patty's Bistro.

The promotion falls a week after it did last year and coincides with the start of summer break for most public schools — the first week of "The Big 11," the 11 weeks until Labor Day that make up the heart of the season for most seasonal businesses.
